What does “AlwahWDusur” mean?
Alwahwdusur (boards and dowels in Arabic) is the expression that god used in the Quran to describe prophet Noah’s ark, a very simple description of the ship that would carry the believers to a new world, we felt that this abstract description best expressed what we were up to. Toys with very simple details that might seem silly compared to all the electronic and plastic toys, but gives children the chance to really play not just react to their Toys.
Toys for less distraction and more interaction
our wooden toys are made of natural materials and designed carefully to be as simple as to improve children’s perception and develop their senses, leaving a space for the child to use his imagination and interact with the toy in different ways, away from the distraction of lights and sounds usually found in electronic toys
Our approach in design
Along with making toys from biodegradable materials that need no batteries, we make sure our designs are based on the same principles of sustainability and contribute to opening the minds of our little ones to sustainable development goals along with having fun.
We chose to stand out with our designs that are heavily inspired by local cultures in the east as we believe our culture is rich enough to ignite a kid’s imagination and has the power to keep kids in harmony with their surroundings and help them form stronger bonds with their roots.
